|Dea Del Mare (Sicily)||(6)||£6.95||£41.70|
|Catarratto Pinot Grigio 2014/2015|
|IGT Terre Sicilaine|
A new Pinot from Sicily which is blended with Catarratto making it drier than some Pinot Grigios and with a bit of complexity. Excellent value and a lovely easy summer drink.
|Pallio di San Floriano Verdicchio Classico Superiore 2015||(6)||£9.69||£58.14|
2013 is one of the best vintages for a decade in the Pallio and this Verdicchio has tremendous quality, freshness yet strength of flavour throughout and is recommended at this price.
|Sentito Pinot Grigio 2015||(12)||£8.49||
As fresh as it gets with good fruit and balanced acidity.
|Gavi La Battistina 2015||(6)||£9.59||£57.54|
|Another wonderfully good fresh Italina white which really does engage the senses. Fresh, with a citrus tang yet plenty of body and good mouth feel.|
|Lovely open fresh dry white wine with good body and excellent acidity made from Sangiovese grapes.|
|Panezio Chianti Colli Senesi 2011/12||(6)||£7.29||£43.74|
Good rustic qualities with fruit and complexity making it both great value for money and an excellent summer barbecue wine.
|Giardinelli Salice Salentino 2012||(6)||£8.95||£53.70|
This is just the most delightful and attractive light styled and gentle Italian red that we have had for some time. A perfect match to white meats and fish and an absolute bargain at this price.
|Monte Schiavo Alberto Serenili 2012||(6)||£9.69||£58.14|
|Smart wine with plenty of typically Italian characteristics throughout and drinking well now.|
|Campo Santa Lena Valpolicella 2013/2014||(12)||£12.75||£153.00|
This is really good quality Valpolicella with lovely roundness and robust upfront fruit that compliments all red meat perfectly.
|Campriano Chianti Colli Senesi 2013/14||(12)||£12.59||£151.08|
|As with so many Italian wines, they should be judged in the context of their provincial cuisine and this Chianti is a truly great example of wine to go with delicious cuts of meat and salads. Full of cherry/plum fruit flavours and great depth and satisfaction at the end. Thoroughly recommended.|
|Impero Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2009||(6)||£20.90||£125.40|
|Dark colour, with a deep blackcurrant nose. Glorious big ripe fruit flavours, and a long finish.|
|Fertuna is situated in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma.
It was created in 1997 to produce wines of premium quality that represent value for money. We thought them fantastically attractive and are thrilled to have them on our list.
|Unmistakeably Italian, this wine which is a blend of sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and merlot is delightfully light, yet warm and full of flavour and fruit and goes beautifully with cold meats, pasta or cheese.|
|This is aged 12 months in the barrel before bottling which gives it notably more structure and form than the Pactio above. Warm, vibrant and well balanced this wine has beautifully integrated tannins with a long finish. Recommended.|
|As you might expect this is a more complex and complete wine that is the pride of the vineyard. There is still no mistaking its warmth and vibrancy, but it has enchanced balance and integration of the fruit and tannin content and leaves you with a stunning aftertaste. Pure luxury and heaven.|
